The SPACE BLUE handle on the SPACE-BAR KA-BAR® with Hard Sheath is made from Kraton G®. Referred to simply as Kraton, it is a synthetic rubber that can be molded into knife handles. Kraton provides a non-slip grip and is perfect for use in space.
1095 Cro-Van Steel Blade
The Fixed Blade on the SPACE-BAR KA-BAR® with Hard Sheath is made from a grey power coated 1095 CRO-VAN Steel and features a Flat grind. 1095 CRO-VAN steel is easy to sharpen, plain carbon steel used in knife making. Proven to be one of the most popular steels used in KA-BAR Knives. With a Rockwell hardness rating of 56-58, this Clip Point shaped blade is 7 inches long and is stamped with "USSF" and "KA-BAR".
