The Ceradyn element protected by food-grade plastic end caps has what you want: Katadyn's microporous ceramic is guaranteed to catch solids and all those nasty bugs, bacteria and parasites. The silver-impregnated ceramic also stamps out bacteria growth. And the Katadyn ceramic delivers healthy water without the use of chemicals you’d rather avoid.
Approximately 50,000 liters (13,000 U.S. gallons), depending on water quality. Flow rate can be renewed by simply running a brush over the outer surface. Approximately 100 cleaning cycles are possible. A measuring gauge checks minimum diameter of the element and indicates when replacement is necessary.
