The #4 Survival knife is modeled after Grohmanns original knife. A favourite for hunters with larger than average hands and also as a generous outdoors knife. Also, the button tab is positioned higher for more comfort when riding or sitting.
Black Micarta Handle
available on most outdoor knives. Micarta is commonly called the "steel of the plastic family" for its strength and durability and is similar to G-10. Composed of layers of linen soaked in resin, it is lightweight yet tough, has a slightly linen textured look but fairly smooth to the touch when finished.
Stainless Steel Blade
Grohmann takes pride in their products and that means using high-quality materials. Rockwell hardness 56-58 degrees is maintained throughout all of the Outdoor knives.
Leather Sheath With Sharpening Steel
Superior handcrafted quality also refers to Grohmann’s custom designed leather sheaths. Every Belt Knife comes with a top grade oil tanned sheath. All leather sheaths are made of 6 to 8-ounce steer hide that is glued, stitched and riveted for maximum strength & durability. Each sheath is then oiled tanned and polished by hand to give it a beautiful finish. Comes with a steel sharpening rod.
