The Solo Stove Ranger harnesses Solo Stove's patented design in a more compact size and travel friendly size. The Ranger sets up and starts quickly allowing you to have a no-trace fire in more places than just the backyard. The double wall design creates a burst of hot air over the fire reducing the smoke without the use of batteries and fans. By design, Ranger burns wood so efficiently you’ll only be left with ultra-fine ash making clean up as simple as dumping out the spent ash.
The Ranger is fueled by chunk wood or small logs and offers all the benefits of a wood-burning fire without the smoke or the campfire smell sticking to your clothes. It also comes with a durable carry case with handles for easy transport!
How it Works
The Solo Stove Rangercis a natural convection inverted downgas gasifer stove.
Designed with a double wall, The air intake holes on the bottom of the stove channel air to the bottom of the fire while at the same time, channels warm air up between the walls of the stove. This burst of preheated oxygen feeding back into the firebox through the smaller holes at the top of the stove causes a secondary combustion. This allows the fire to burn more complete which is why there is very little smoke during full burn.
To protect its surroundings the Solo Stove Bonfire features a heat shield between the ash pan and the bottom of the stove which protects the ground under the stove from scorching.
A more efficient burn also means you'll use much less wood compared to an open camp fire.
