Blade Stamp: KA-BAR
The Tanto blade shape, of Asian influence, has a thick pointed blade that's good for penetration. Coupled with a glass-filled nylon sheath this knife is designed for the toughest of tasks. Features: Epoxy powder coated high carbon steel blade.
The Black handle on the Black Tanto KA-BAR® is made from Kraton G®. Referred to simply as Kraton, it is a synthetic rubber that can be molded into knife handles. Kraton provides a non-slip grip.
The Fixed Blade on the Black Tanto KA-BAR® is made from 1095 CRO-VAN Steel and features a Hollow grind. 1095 CRO-VAN steel is easy to sharpen, plain carbon steel used in knife making. Proven to be one of the most popular steels used in KA-BAR Knives. With a Rockwell hardness rating of 56-58, this Tanto shaped blade is 8 inches long and is stamped with USA.
With its partially serrated edge the Black Tanto KA-BAR® is perfect for cutting looped and synthetic materials.
Included with the Black Tanto KA-BAR® is a Black Glass Filled Nylon sheath with KA-BAR stamped on it.This Black Glass Filled Nylon sheath is made in Taiwan.
